The
Veneto & Friuli
Vicenza, Padua, Verona and Treviso were established as the
flontier post by the Romans. Those cities were situated important
trade routes such as the Serenissima for connecting the flourishing
port cities of Venice and Gienoa. Also the Brenner Pass where
commercial travelers used to cross the Alps from northern
Europe.
Wealth of the prosperity of these cities are
shown throughout the building of Renaissance palace and public buildings,
designed by Andrea alladio, who is the Veneto's great architect.
His works symbolize the existence once enjoyed by the area's arictocrats.
Today, Veneto and Friuli boast variety of attractions for the tourist
destinations.
