SICILY
Sicily
has been a constant paws for marauding forces for centuries.

numerous Barbarian invasion.
The
Norman era, brilliant architectures have spawned and their
achivements are such as the cathedrals of Monreale and Cefali,
while the electicism architecture of this period is best
seen at Santi Pietro e Paolo outside Taormina. In the 17th
and 18th centuries, the Sicilian Baroque such as the palaces
and churches of Palermo, the elaborate ritual of the Spanish
Viceregal court tends to lavish revealement.
Noto,
Ragusa, Modica, Siracusa, and Catania, itself is the remnat from
the early flying of the island with the Arab world. Today Sicily
redolent the legacy of the past everywhere and it is said that there
is less Italian blood in Sicilian veins than there is Phenician,
Greek, Arabic, Norman, Spanish, or French. Its style is the way
of an expression of the nature Sicilian, pomp and pageantry.
