legacies of invasions which can be seen from different dilects
and it is also alive the remnants of Phoennician and Etruscan.
Arab and Spanish influenced the South of the region. Nuragbe
castles, villages, temples and tombs which are littered around
Barumini, north of Cagliari, and in the Valle dei Nuraghe,
south of Sassari tell/attract its prehistory. Cagliari,
the capital of Sardinia, there is a museum which shows the
ancient enigmatic people archaeologically and around Sassari,
there are also Pisan-Romanesque churches. In Olbia, it is
the famous place for jet-setting Costa Smeralda.
