The Hotel Locanda l'Elisa stands at the feet of a range of hills close to Lucca and is housed in a Villa which was rebuilt in the early eighteenth century by a napoleonic official who arrived in Lucca in the retinue of Elisa Baciocchi. The quiet and charming Villa became an elegant hotel in 1992.
In the sitting area "Elisa" it is possible to relax in front of the white-marble fireplace with a drink or a book. We also invite you to leave a comment in our Guest book to remind us of your stay in our hotel.
Locanda l'ELisa is composed of eight Junior Suites, plus one Double and one Single Room. Furniture of the 1800's, fine antiques and paintings, draperies and walls covered in damask fabrics create an elegant residence.
Some of the Suites have a four poster bed and all the rooms are equipped with all comforts: air conditioning/heating system, IDD phones, Tv sat, modem access, radio, safe box with personal code, minibar, hairdryer. The rooms are sound proof and high quality technical equipment means that the villa is perfectly air-conditioned.
For the dining room a semi-oval conservatory of English origin (Victorian Age) has been used. This helps create a perfect and intimate atmosphere in which to taste our excellent meals surrounded by the luxuriant garden of the villa. Guests can have lunch or dinner in our charming and lovely restaurant where they will find a refined service, high standard cuisine (tipical dishes in the local tradition combined with more recent ones) and an excellent winelist. An irregular shaped refeshing swimming pool fits perfectly into the scenary. Our Guests can relax, read books or drink aperitifs on the small wooden gazebo over the pool.
Locanda l'Elisa is located just a five minute drive away from the walled-medioval town of Lucca, 25 minutes driving far form Pisa Airport and 45 minutes far from Firenze/Peretola Airport. Locanda l'Elisa is well situated for half or one day tours to visit the "Leaning Tower" of Pisa, the eternal Florence, the liberty-style buildings of the Versilia (Viareggio, Forte dei Marmi, Pietrasanta) or the marble caves (the world-wide famous white marble used by Michelangelo for his sculptures). The Chianti area, Siena and San Gimignano or Cinque Terre and Portofino are only 1 hour and 30 min. driving away
